| CJNU Introduction |
CJNU(Chungju National University) was founded in 1962 as Chungju Technology Junior College.
It has four colleges(39 departments) and two graduate schools. 9,000 talented undergraduate
students are currently enrolled. The founding spirit of the university is to 'cultivate the nature
of a democratic citizen', educate Human Strength in Science and Technology' and 'develop a
social community and culture'.
Cheongju Technical Junior college was annexed to CJNU March 1, 2006. CJNU has two campuses
in both Chungj-si and Jeungpyeon-gun. CJNU has made an exchange agreement with sixteen
universities in ten countries around the world. Now 65 exchange students from the sisterhood
universities are studying at the undergraduate school and graduate school in CJNU. CJNU has
developed in its scale and its stature by the annex. CJNU was recorded the most competitive
in 2007 admissions of all the admission competitions, and rapidly has been developed.
CJNU had promulgated 'a plan of university short and long term development' under the motto
of 'DREAM 2015'. CJNU will nurture students of talented and spirit who can lead local communities
as a central university in the country's central regions. |

| Korean Language Courses |
The International Education Center in CJNU provides regular Korean Language courses to the
international students. The courses help them to understand Korean language and Korean culture
in learning their major during two semesters. The International Education Center in CJNU tries to
establish a Language Institute by the beginning of 2008. The center will open various programs
of Korean Language Courses, Korean Education Courses, and Korean Culture Experience
Courses for the international students. |

# Applying for the exchange student program at CJNU
1. Exchange students can study for up to 2 semesters.
2. Applicants must contact the international Education office at CJNU's sisterhood universities.
No student can apply for the exchange student program directly to CJNU.
3. Admitted exchange students come to Korea with a D-2 visa.
4. There is no minimum credit limit, and students can take up to 20 credits for a semester.
5. An academic record is issued every semester, and credits will be transferred. |
