This course is to cultivate the first level of professional paramedic to prevent death from accidents and
sudden health problems from trauma, heart attack, stroke and diabetes mellitus. Job opportunities may be
in paramedics in fire station, emergency rooms, medical offices of the correctional institution and
Korea coast guard. |

The students majoring in Food Science and Technology are educated to acquire the skills to process food,
maintain optimal quality, and perform quality management of food and microorganisms. For this purpose,
students learn various features of food and strengthen their theoretical background in food processing.
Furthermore, being offered the teachers’ training program, they can obtain the 2nd-grade teacher’s
certificate or seek other jobs in food industry. |

Biotech industry is one of the most important 21st industries related to human life and its quality.
The biotechnology has been largely contributing to the treatments or prevention of human diseases and
the production of useful bio-materials. Our department program aims at training students to be with
a solid background in medicines, environments, functional bio-materials, and cosmetics. In addition,
our department trains students to be professional workers or research scientists with the strong
background related to bio-industry. Graduates can pursue in various fields such as bio-industries,
research institutes, government, etc. and go on to graduate school. |
