The educational objective of the Nursing Department is to develop professional nurses who can help
humans maintain optimal health conditions. To achieve this educational goal, the department provides
students with opportunities to learn in-depth theoretical knowledge and information, along with nursing
skills, through lectures and clinical experiments. Moreover, it pays attention to the student’s inner
development that is essential for the acquisition of trust from the patients. |

Physical therapy is the oldest area within medical science and the most rapidly developing area in
these days. With the development of medical science, the length of life is extended. However, at the
same time, there are increasing cases of elderly diseases, industrial injuries, traffic accidents, and
injuries from sports activities that result in a number of disabled people. For their rehabilitation and
health improvement, the demand for specialists in physical therapy is rapidly increasing. |

Large scale accidents or disasters in modern society require an increasing number of competent
personnel who can offer emergency medical services. Professional medical service personnel
perform emergency medical treatment at the accident place or at medical institutions. The department
has the second longest history in Korea and the graduates are working to get the first-grade
emergency medical service licenses. |
