Architecture is a composite field that comprises art and science. The Architectural Engineering
Department prepares students to become competent architects through a systematic technological
curriculum, various architectural design programs, university-industry cooperation programs, and
diverse research projects. In particular, its curriculum follows the standards of ABEEK(Accreditation
Board for Engineering Education of Korea) in order for students to fulfill the requirements of the
international architectural engineering accreditation program. In addition, the KOLAS promotes
practical technologies and training to meet the industrial demands. |

Since 2003, the Department of Architecture has offered the 5-year professional architectural degree
program. Furthermore, this program has adopted “the UNESCO/UIA accreditation system for architectural
education” to develop internationally recognized architects. Students receive an extensive
background in technical and practical methods of architecture at the architectural design studios.
In addition, students have access to the professional design studios and other facilities, such as
architectural CAD room where they can practice imaginary architecture, and the equipment &
environment laboratories 24 hours every day. |
